PRIVACY POLICY OF THE UNION BANK

JANUARY 4, 2012

The Union Bank will retain and use personal information only as appropriate in the normal course of our business in order to provide you with the products and services you have requested. We will also use your personal information to communicate with you and help us respond to your questions and to suggest to you Union Bank products and services which serve you best as our customer.

The Union Bank has put security levels into place that limit employee access to private customer records unless those records are necessary to serve the customer. This policy extends to customer submissions via our web site.

The Union Bank may utilize e-mail addresses we collect during correspondence to better communicate with our customer base, along with web site content. The Union Bank will not disclose customer information, including names, addresses, e-mail address or account information to unaffiliated third parties, unless:

  1. the customer requests or consents to disclosure
  2. we are legally required to do so (i.e., in response to a subpoena or legal investigation), or
  3. the customer has been informed of the possibility of sharing information for marketing or other similar purposes and the customer has been given the opportunity to decline participation

Information (such as names and addresses) that is simply available from a public source, including the Internet, excluded from the definition of "nonpublic personal information," even if the bank does not actually obtain the information from the public source. This privacy policy needs to be disclosed only to the primary holder of a joint account. One notice per household will suffice when there are multiple account holders at the same address.

We will provide our privacy policy to customers on our Website as long as the customer is an Internet user and has been informed that the policy is located there.

Customers who we do not regularly communicate with (safe deposit box holders, etc.) will be informed that the policy is either available in the branch or on our Website.

Contact us if you have any questions about The Union Bank Privacy Policy.
